MAKASSAR – In a significant move to elevate technology-based education standards, AIMMETRIX has officially completed the handover of Virtual Reality (VR) Chemistry Laboratory simulators to SMK - SMAK Makassar. This innovation serves as a modern solution to prepare students for operating advanced chemical instruments.
The handover ceremony included three primary instrument simulation modules
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
Gas Chromatography (GC)
Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS)
Why VR Simulators? The integration of VR technology into vocational chemistry education serves a crucial strategic purpose. Before students interact with actual equipment in an industrial setting, these simulators act as a safe and efficient initial training platform.
The implementation focuses on three key objectives:
Mitigating Material Loss: Reducing the wastage of expensive chemicals (reagents) and samples during the early stages of learning.
Equipment Protection: Minimizing the risk of damage to high-value laboratory instruments caused by operational "human error" from beginners.
Safety: Ensuring students thoroughly understand work safety procedures in a virtual environment before facing real-world risks in the lab.
With the introduction of these AIMMETRIX simulators, SMK - SMAK Makassar strengthens its position as an educational institution dedicated to producing competent, job-ready professionals for the industry 4.0 era.
