Politeknik AKAMIGAS Palembang and AIMMETRIX Sign Partnership to Introduce Virtual Reality Simulator for Students
AIMMETRIX

Politeknik AKAMIGAS Palembang and AIMMETRIX have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to introduce a Virtual Reality (VR) simulator as part of their initiative to enhance the quality of education. This joint commitment aims to leverage immersive technology to help students better understand field conditions in a safer, more realistic, and efficient manner.

With the implementation of this simulator, students will be able to practice various technical and operational procedures as if they were in the field—yet within a controlled virtual environment. This approach is expected to enrich the learning experience, reduce the risk of workplace accidents during practical sessions, and better prepare graduates to face real-world challenges in the oil and gas industry.

Ir. Sepriadi, S.T., M.T., Lecturer of the Mining and Coal Engineering Program, stated that this collaboration will provide significant added value to practice-based learning. Meanwhile, AIMMETRIX representative Ir. Giswa Ade Nugraha K., S.T., IPP. reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting education through technological solutions that align with current industry needs.

The signing of the MoU and MoA marks the beginning of a broader collaboration between the two parties, including joint research and the development of new training modules. Through this initiative, students will not only grasp theoretical concepts but also gain professional familiarity with field scenarios via near-realistic virtual experiences.
